Live Fire Beauty

With the San Diego fires going on I had a hunch. Some of the fires are beginning to become contained which of course means there are going to be a TON of particulates in the air which translates into a beautiful sunset.

We were NOT disappointed.

So I am walking aimlessly completely enthralled with the landscape and looking more at the reflection in the sand then at the sunset itself. Normally a good thing but I am on Coronado Island. Most of you know this as the training place for the Navy SEALS. My friends are yelling at me and I can barely hear them. Not much caring either because I saw this one lone plant on the ground with the mirror image in the sand. I was on the ground on my hands and knees and clicked three shots of varying exposures. Next thing I know there is a Blackhawk Helicopter over me. My wanderings have brought me into the LIVE FIRE range of the Navy/Marines. Yeah not a good thing. I got two more shots of the helicopter before realizing the stupidity of what I was even tempting and ran to the boundary line.

I thought it was worth it.
